Here’s another pic from the New Roscoe last night.
Last nights gig was a bit like trying to organise a flash mob. We found out we were playing The New Roscoe at about 3PM and went on stage at 10PM with furious texting and emailing in between. Thanks to everyone who showed up with such short notice (particularly the rest of the band 😆 ).

Rehearsal, 16th June 2008: The One Where Ruth Was Right
Those of you who know me well will know that I’m a very humble person who is never argumentative or opinionated. That is why it is not important at all that I WAS RIGHT about the bit after the solo in “Crazy Crazy Nights”. Why the rest of the band felt so sure that Kiss would have a half bar in a song is beyond me. Even after listening to it on the CD and proving I was right, they still all played it wrong and tried to claim it was me that got it wrong. So we listened to it again and guess what… I WAS RIGHT! And finally the guys got it right too. Eventually.

I just came across this post that has the best album put down ever. It describes St. Anger as a ‘sonic abortion’.

I Stand Accused
A damning indictment was levelled at me yesterday. I stand accused of departing from the Les Paul and becoming a super strat wielding “stunt guitarist”.
To all those who are concerned about my heresy, it’s true and false. The Les Paul stays – but so do the pinch harmonics and crazy whammy dives!!

The Most Expensive Guitar Ever!!
So following the quest for the ultimate 80’s fast solo rockin’ sound I discovered the most expensive guitar in the known world!!
Give a round of applause to a limited edition run by fender of a recreation of Eddie Van Halen’s Frankenstein. It doesn’t even come with a vial of the man’s semen – which you would expect for that price!
