Following a gig at the Cross Keys in Morley, the following review has appeared here:
“Silverthorn
As we made our way to the Cross Keys to see the band Silverthorn who were appearing there for the second time i was unsure what to expect as having unfortunately missed them the first time around but had heard good things of there gig from one or two of the locals. As we walked in the band was just kicking into the first number of the first set & from the off i was pleasantly surprised from the introduction of keyboards with-in the band in which my opinion the introduction of keyboards with a certain few bands on the local scene will ad a big plus to there stage presence. Silverthorn are Ruth , Rob.Matt &Adam who perform covers from the 70′s & 80′s but with a wide & obscure selection of numbers plus the classics,three numbers which out stood on the evenings performance & used the keyboards to there full potential wer Van Halans Jump Europe’s Final Countdown & a number very rarely heard on the local scene Wings Band on the Run & all played with the highest quality.Silverthorn are a relatively new band on the circuit but have the potential to make big strides in the year to come.”
