Hello world!

Never really thought I would get into the whole blogging thing.  Funny really.  I was on the way to my brother’s house last night and Robb (my husband) and I were talking about his blog.  He said I should have my own blog too and I said that I didn’t really have anything interesting or funny to write about.  Most people think my job is quite interesting but it is completely shrouded in confidentiality, so that’s out.  I’ve got a lot of different interests but not really anything that I’m so fanatical about that I want to spend ages writing about it – I’d rather just get on with the thing itself! Anyway, we got to Mike’s for the fourth meeting of our new band.  After dinner we went to the pub and were talking about various band-related stuff – what songs we wanted to play, covers vs original material, and most importantly – what we were going to call ourselves.  I was writing down some of the ideas in a notebook and at some point someone suggested I should be keeping a diary of everything we discussed… so here it is! The trials and tribulations of starting up a new band.

Well in, Ruth! I’m sure your blog will be a fascinating insight. But anyway, who said blogs had to interest anyone but yourself – there are millions of blogs out thich are testament to that…

Thanks Carole! I’m secretly hoping that when the band makes it big this will save time on releasing an autobiography…
